Performs intake procedures to determine client eligibility for agency programs including but not limited to rent assistance, fuel assistance, weatherization, and make recommendations regarding clients’ program eligibility.*
Disseminates standards for documentation required to establish eligibility for programs.*
Maintains accurate, updated records and files.*
Performs intake file input into the DBA software system.
Performs clerical duties including processing information by computer, filing, answering Agency telephone, utilizing agency software, scheduling appointments.*
May work in multiple locations and various office settings
Complies with agency’s values, mission and culture statements.
Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Regularly required to sit, to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, bend, and walk. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or a move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Education: This position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D. In addition, this position requires knowledge such as that acquired in the first one or two years of college, technical, vocational, or business school.
Experience: Between one and three years of progressively more responsible or expansive experience is required.
Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license with a driving record that is in compliance with Community Action Agency of South Central Michigan insurance carrier requirements.
