Roles and responsibilities of a Substitute Senior Transportation Driver include: 

• Transports clients to designated programs such as the senior citizen's center or training classes. Ensures safety and well-being of individuals being transported.*

• Conducts pre-trip inspection including assuring all fluid levels are maintained and observes and reports any malfunction to the Transportation Coordinator.*

• Maintains and monitors records of attendance and appointments. Reports schedule changes to the Dispatcher.*

• Compiles and maintains necessary paperwork such as mileage logs and submits reports to the Transportation Coordinator on a timely basis.*

• Performs daily custodial duties to maintain a clean vehicle interior for passengers.*

• Complete all accident and incident reports as required and submit to Transportation Coordinator on a timely basis.

• Maintain accurate logs of drive time and down time.

• Attend meetings as required.

• Complies with Agency’s values, mission and culture statements

•Relieves Dispatcher of duties as needed

Physical Requirements:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to sit, to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, bend, twist at waist and knee and walk. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to travel in motor vehicle and/or other forms of transportation for hours at a time and have physical mobility to move around airports as well as in and out of motor vehicles.


Qualifications & Education:

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: This position requires knowledge normally acquired through a general high school education or its equivalent.

Experience: Between one and three years of progressively more responsible or expansive experience is required.
